Cara Share Printer di Windows 8.1

Di dalam sebuah jaringan komputer akan banyak anda temui keuntungan, diantaranya adalah sharing resource termasuk share file/folder dan share printer. Satu buah printer dalam jaringan dapat digunakan oleh beberapa komputer. Hal ini sangat menghemat anggaran untuk membeli printer, karena tidak diperlukan satu printer untuk satu komputer.

Share printer akan dengan mudah dilakukan pada komputer yang terinstal sistem operasi (OS) sama, akan tetapi tidak demikian jika anda memakai komputer antar OS yang berbeda. Apalagi jika printer yang ada terhubung pada induk komputer berbasis Windows 8.1. Mungkin diantara sobat pernah ada yang mengalami kesulitan dalam setting share printer di komputer Windows 8.1. Nah pada artikel kali ini kami tampilkan cara share printer di Windows 8.1 :

1. Buka charm bar dan klik Search lalu ketik devices and printer.
 

2. Klik icon Devices and Printers yang muncul, maka akan terlihat
    Printer yang telah terinstal.

3. Klik kanan icon Printer - Printer properties  dan sesaat kemudian
    keluar jendela printer properties.
 

4. Klik tab Sharing - centang Share this printer - Apply - OK.
 

5. Cek pada Network, pasti di situ sudah muncul printer anda dan
    siap di share dalam jaringan.

Setting di atas dapat dilakukan jika anda sudah mengaktifkan file dan printer sharing. Untuk itu pastikan pengaturan file dan printer sharing dalam keadaan on. Anda dapat melakukan setting ini pada Advanced sharing settings.

Hotkey Baru di Windows 10 Technical Preview

Windows 10 Technical Preview telah dirilis oleh Microsoft awal bulan ini, dan anda yang sudah tergabung dalam Program Windows Insider bisa Download Windows 10 Technical Preview. Anda dapat Instal Windows 10 Technical Preview pada komputer melalui dual boot dengan sistem operasi lain seperti Windows 7 atau Windows 8 serta Windows 8.1.

Tujuannya biar bisa ikut mencicipi produk OS terbaru dan mungkin dapat memberikan feedback ke Microsoft ini. Dalam Windows 10 Technical Preview terdapat banyak tambahan baru dalam shell, start menu dan universal apps. Begitu juga muncul hotkey baru atau shortcut key yang tidak ada pada OS terdahulu.

Text Selection Key

• SHIFT + LEFT ARROW : Moves the cursor to the left one character, extending the selection.
• SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW : Moves the cursor to the right one character, extending the selection.
• SHIFT + UP ARROW : Selects text up line by line starting from the location of the insertion point.
• SHIFT + DOWN ARROW : Extends text selection down one line, starting at the location of the insertion point.
• SHIFT + END : If cursor is in current line being edited.
• First time extends selection to the last character in the input line.
• Second consecutive press extends selection to the right margin.
• Selects text from the insertion point to the right margin.
• SHIFT + HOME : If cursor is in current line being edited.
• First time extends selection to the character immediately after the command prompt.
• Second consecutive press extends selection to the left margin.
• Extends selection to the left margin.
• SHIFT + PAGE DOWN : Extends selection down one screen.
• SHIFT + PAGE UP : Extends selection up one screen.
• CTRL + SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW : Extends the selection one word to the right.
