Intel Merilis Processor Broadwell-E

Beberapa waktu lalu Intel mengumumkan pengembangan processor untuk high end desktop dengan kode Broadwell-E dan menggunakan soket LGA 2011-v3. Menurut bocoran videocardz.com yang memperlihatkan beberapa slide, tertulis "Under embargo until 11:00PM PDT May 30, 2016". Artinya Intel akan merilis Broadwell-E setelah jam 11:00 PM tanggal 30 Mei 2016.

Processor Intel Broadwell-E terdiri dari 4 chip yaitu Intel Core i7 6950X (10 core), Intel Core i7 6900K (8 core), Intel Core i7 6850K (6 core) dan Intel Core i7 6800K (6 core). Keempat Intel Broadwell-E tersebut dibangun berbasis Transistor Tri-Gate 3D 14nm, dibekali teknologi baru yaitu Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 dan Smart Cache hingga 25MB.

Intel Core i7 6950X lebih cepat dalam hal multi-thread performance sampai 35% dibanding Core i7-5960X (Haswell-E). Intel Broadwell-E memiliki 40 jalur PCI Express 3.0 yang langsung terhubung ke CPU sehingga memungkinkan SSD untuk bekerja lebih cepat, mendukung 4 VGA Card diskrit dan teknologi Thunderbolt 3.

Processor Intel Broadwell-E masih support Teknologi Hyper Threading menawarkan 3 fitur baru untuk overclocking, yakni : Per Core Overclocking, AVX Ratio Offset dan VccU Voltage Control. Inilah komitmen Broadwell-E untuk para penggila overclocking.
