AMD Radeon™ HD 6990M dibekali 1120 stream processor dengan frekuensi clock sebesar 715 MHz, memory 2 GB GDDR5 dan power processing 1.6 TeraFLOPS. AMD Radeon™ HD 6990M menawarkan kinerja gaming yang intensif melalui dukungan teknologi DirectX® Evolved serta mendapatkan kinerja tessellation yang luar biasa.
AMD Radeon™ HD 6990M juga support DirectCompute, Shader model 5, kompresi tekstur dan mendukung OpenCL™ 1.1. AMD Radeon™ HD 6990M tetap menghadirkan dukungan multi-GPU melalui teknologi AMD CrossFireX™ dan juga support DirectX® 11.
